| Objective; The study aimed at investigating the relationship of A561C,C1839T polymorphisms of E-selectin gene with cebreral infarction (CI) in Xinjiang Kazakh GroupMethods: the S128R polymorphism in the exon 4 and The L554F polymorphism in the exon 10 of E-selectin gene of103patients with CI of xinjiang Kazakh group were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis genotype distribution, characteristics,study the relationship between E-selectin gene polymorphism and CI.At the same time 110 healthy controls were collected in the same area.The x2 test was adopted to check the difference in genotype distribution between cases and controls,and the accordance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the group.Results:(1) Gender and age of two groups were matched.There was significant difference in the two groups..(2) The frequencies of A/A,A/C and C/C in E-selectin gene A561C were 69.9%, 30.1% and 0% in Kazakh's individuals with CI,and 84.5%,15.5%,0% in Kazakh's controls respectively. There was significant difference in frequencies of allele and genotype in A561C polymorphism between CI and control groups respectively(X2=6.533,P<0.05).The relative risk suffered from SR of CI geno.type was 2.335 times of the SS genotype(OR=2.335,95% CI:1.209~4.588).(3) The frequencies of A/A, A/C and C/C in E-selectin gene C1839T were 74.8%,25.2%and 0% in Kazakh's individuals with CI, and 87.3%,12.7%,0.0% in Kazakh's controls respectively. There was significant difference in frequencies of allele and genotype in C1839Tpolymorphism between CI and control groups respectively(X2=5.463, P<0.05).The relative risk suffered from LF of CI geno. type was 2.315 times of the LL genotype(OR=2.315,95% CI:1.132-4.737).Conclusion:E-selectin A561C and C1839T polymorphism was associated with CI,C and T allele may be a genetic risk factor of CI among Xinjiang Kazakh Group. |
