Elderly Patients With Isolated Systolic Hypertension In Patients With Cardiac Ultrasound Characteristics Of Chinese Dialectical And Its Associated Exploration

Old isolated systolic hypertension (OISH) is a special tape of hypertension.Not only it has a high incidence, but the clinical manifestations is complex.So it always be the focus of the field of hypertension.There are many clinical manifestations of OISH, such as more complications, orthostatic hypertension and heart failureObjectiveTo explore the features of ultrasonic cardiogram of Old isolated systolic hypertension on patients who had accepted the effective treatment in XiYuan Hospital;To investigate and analyze the relationship of ultrasonic cardiogram and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromesMethodsThe general conditions(including name.gender, age, the level of blood pressure, complications, medical history, course of disease, etc.)of 160 patients with old isolated systolic hypertension were collected by case report form, who were hospitalized and accepted the treatment in XiYuan Hospital admitted during March 2009 to March 2011.We investigated patients'ultrasonic cardiogram,24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and TCM syndromes.Then we summaried objectively frequency of features of blood pressure, basis informations, TCM syndromes and heart valves diseases in ultrasonic cardiogramResultsThe mean age of the 160 patients was (73.94+4.34) years old. And the male to female ratio was 1:1.35.In the 160 patients, the ratio of coronary heart disease patients reached to 37.5%; the ratio of diabetes patients reached to 37.5%; hyperlipidemia was 20%;fatty liver was 20%.Among the patients with TCM syndromes of excess in appearance, there were 78 cases(48.75%) with blood stasis and 54 cases(33.75%) with phlegm. Among the patients with TCM syndromes of deficiency in origin, the percentage of patients with qi deficiency and yin deficiency were 35%and 23.75% respectively. In the 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure, the shape of spoon and anti-spoon were more than others. In ultrasonic cardiogram, the number of aortic incompetence was 48(30%), aortic valve thickening was 22(13.75%);the number of mitral regurgitation was 66(41.75%).In the relationship of left ventricular diastolic function and TCM syndromes, phlegm was more than others(74.07%), the second was blood stasis(69.23),the third was qi deficiency(67..86%), the last was yin deficiency(63.16%).Conclusions:Old isolated systolic hypertension (OISH) patients had more associated diseases such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and fatty liver. TCM syndromes were mainly blood stasis, phlegm, Qi deficiency and Yin deficiency.The patients who suffer from phlegm and blood stasis had poor left ventricular diastolic function.
