Health and nutrition status of adolescent students relate to the future of country. And it s also an important index to measure economy development and progress degree of society. In recent years, Economy of our country developed fast and people s living standard improved gradually. Health and nutrition status of adolescent students become more and more important. We can know the dietary pattern and nutrition status by this research to provide reliable data for modify student diet structure timely and establish scientific and reasonable nutrition plan.Primary and middle school students of jianhu county were used as research objective. The form of survey questionnaire or interview and method of random sampling were used to investigate the dietary characters and structure. Height and weight of students in Jianhu County were measured and height-standard weight method was used to judge the nutrition status. Furthermore, Furthermore, Poor eyesight, dental caries and other diseased that often ill with have been investigated.Result:Investigation results of dietary characters indicated that, principal food of adolescent students of three meals was rice; midnight meals were mainly wheaten food. Dietary structure was basically reasonable, but there existed some faults. Intake of vegetable, fruit, fish, milk and egg was not reaching the requirements. Intake of cereal food of girl students was seriously inadequate. Intake amount of protein of high school was 73.8g, which was less than the recommend value 75.00g.Protein sources of boy or girl students were not reasonable enough. So the intake of egg, fish, milk and other high quality protein should be strengthened. Further more, adolescent had the serious problem of Ca, Fe, and Zn and vitamin lack. It should increase the intake amount of these nutrients. Based on the survey results of weight and height, obese problem and malnutrition problem both existed. All the students that surveyed, obesity ratio was 11.18%, overweight rate was 12.34% and ratio of malnutrition was 17.57%. Compared with boy students, ratio of obesity and overweight of girls were lower while the ratio of malnutrition was higher. Junior middle school had worse malnutrition problem. To specialized vocational secondary school students, ratio of overweight and obesity decreased further while malnutrition ratio increased. The senior school students showed lower ratio compared with former results.The survey results of common illness showed that prevalence of poor eyesight and dental caries was high. Prevalence rate of chlamydia, tonsillitis and heart disease was low.Conclusions and recommendations:(1) Dietary structure of adolescent students was not reasonable. Protein sources were monotonous and content of high quality protein couldn t meet the need of body growth. The feeding quantity of vegetables, fruits, fishes, milk, eggs should be strengthened. Intake amount of Ca, Zn, Fe and vitamin was lack, further adjust of dietary structure should be made.(2) Poor eyesight problems of jianhu county adolescent students was the main disease that influences the health of students. Safety education about the important of protect sight should be strengthened. Protect of visual acuity brook no delays. Schools, teachers and parents should take high attention.(3) Obese problem and malnutrition problem both existed and influence the healthy growth of students in our county. We should take scientific and effective intervention measures to twist the adverse situation of nutritional status and keep the students grow healthy.
