Research On Psychological Status Of Anxiety And Depression Of The Children Suffered From Tic Disorders And Their Parents

Aims:Tic disorders is based on some form of involuntary, fast and repeated non-rhythmed sports; Or/ and it is a kind of complex, chronic neurological and psychiatric disorders with no obvious purposes and paroxysmal features. Twitch has quenchless experience, but usually it can be self-controlled for a period of time. It can also be aggravated by nervousness, but it can disappear during sleeping. It is often accompanied by compulsive, impulsive and hyperactive behaviors and mood disorders. Tic disorders is first described by J.M.G. Itard (1825) and Georges Gills de la Touret te (1885). It was regarded as a kind of reason-unknown, rare, self-healing disease before the 1960s. In China, it was once described as hyperactive, coprolaliac syndrome and habitual spasms. In the last 30 years, we have essentially changed the comprehension about tic disorders. Especially since the 1990s, tic disorders has been widely considered a hackneyed phenomena. It is caused by genetic obstacle and bad environmental factors. The symptoms get worse and worse, and they are getting complicated and changeable. It represents not only twitch but a variety of emotion and behavior abnormalities. With the increased incidence of tic disorders and psychological and social pressure, it is difficult to cure thoroughly just using medication. Because the chronic tic disorders experiences a long time and the state of illness is capricious easily, the suffering children and their parents will inevitably produce different levels of anxiety and depression symptoms. If we don't pay attention to these psychological problems, it will make heavy burden to the families and society.Materials and methodsI collect the materials of the confirmed suffering children in Zibo Mining Group Central Hospital from 2005 to 2010. And I randomly draw out 70 cases of chronic sports or voice tic disorders. I use "Hamilton anxiety scale", "Hamilton depression rating scale", conversation, observation etc to analyze comprehensively.The results1. Among the 70 cases of chronic sports or voice tic disorders,43 male children cases and female 27. Male and female inverse proportion is 1.59:1. Their ages are from 7 to 15 years old. Take 40 normal children as comparison. Among the 40 children, there are 24 males and 16 females. The inverse proportion is 1.5:1. And their ages are from 7 to 15 years old too. I exclude mental illness of the parents between the groups of tic disorders and normal families. Age, gender and occupation are limitless.2. According to the results in the scale, we draw the suffering children and their parents exist different degrees of anxiety or (and) depression psychology during the disease treatment. However, this kind of psychological symptoms can accentuate the children twitch, aggravate illness, prolong the course, increase the burden of the family and the society. But the normal children and parents have few anxiety or (and) depression psychological. The differences are obvious.Conclusion:During the treatment physicians should pay attention to twitch symptoms of tic disorders and the anxiety, depression psychological status. We should pay more attention to their parents'conclusion and their depression psychology. Besides we use the drug, we also company with psychological counseling, especially make psychological therapy to the suffering children and their parents together. Thus, we will improve to cure tic disorders, and we will also reduce recurrence. Then, we will reduce the burden of the families and the whole society.
