| Objective:The purpose of the study was to detect the expression of TWIST and hyporia inducible factor-1 alpha(HIF-1α) in cervical cancer, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and normal cervibs, to evaluate their roles and clinical significances of Twist and HIF-1αin the carcinogenesis and development of cervical carcinoma,as well as the relativity of the two factors.Methods:The expressions of Twist and HIF-1αwere detected by SP immunohistochemical method in 40 cases of cervical cancer tissues,25 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia tissues and 10 normal cervix tissues.Results:The Twist protein positive expression rate in the cervical carcinoma tissue was 62.5%,while it was 6.7%in the tissue of cervical intraepithelial neoplasiaâ…¡-â…¢(CINâ…¡-â…¢),and the differences was significant(p<0.05);No Twist expression was detected in the tissues of CINâ… and normal cervib. In cervical carninoma tissues,the positive expression rate of HIF-1αwas 70%,which was higher than the 46.7% expression rate in CINâ…¡-â…¢and the difference was significant. In the tissue of CIN,the expression rate of HIF-1αwas 10% and no HIF-1αwas detected in the normal cervical tissue. The expression of Twist and HIF-1 in the cervical carninoma tissues were related with the metastasis of pelvic lymphnode:lympnode positive tissues had higher expression levels than lymphnode negative tissues.But both of them had not related with the age of the patient,differentiation of the cells,pathological-type and the stage.There was a significant relevance in the expressions of Twist and HIF-1αin cervical cancer, r=0.165, P<0.05.Conclusions:(1) The expressions of HIF-1αand Twist were higher in cervical cancer tissues,and the two factors were relevant,which indicates that Twist and HIF-1 were related with carcinogene of cervical cancer.(2)The relatively high expression of HIF-1αand was detected in the CIN,indicating HIF-1αmay play a role in the early development of cervical carcinoma. |
