Objective To survey the cytokines(IL-4, IL-13, IFN-γ. TGF-β) in cord blood of new arrivals, and analyze the content and the possible risk factors of atopic diseases. Method The cord serum of 72 full-month, normal born, healthy new arrivals in the Eighth People's Hospital of qingdao were surveyed using ELISA for the content of the cytokines(IL-4, IL-13, IFN-γ, TGF-β).The allergic diseases of parents and the occurcnce of allergic diseases of infants within six months were recorded, too. Results The content of IL-4 and IL-13 in cord serum in the group of allergic families was significantly higher than that of non- allergic families group (P<0.01,P<0.05),while the content of TGF-βin cord serum in the group of allergic families was significantly lower than than that of non- allergic families group (P<0.01,P<0.05). The overall incidence rate of eczema was 41.67% in 30 follow-up infant; Food allergy overall incidence of diarrhea was 9.72% in 7 follow-up infant; Overall incidence of wheezing was 11.11% the incidence of Atopic diseases, was 25% in the control group,8 cases of eczema,1 cases of food allergy diarrhea,1 cases of wheezing; the incidence of Atopic diseases, was 54.17%in One parent quality of infant atopic group,10 cases of eczema,3 cases of food allergy diarrhea,3 cases of wheezing;the incidence of Atopic diseases, was 87.5%in Both parents quality of infant atopic group,12 cases of eczema,3 cases of food allergy diarrhea,4 cases of wheezing. And the occurence of atopic diseases of infants within six months was significantly higher than than that of non- allergic families group (P<0.05). Conclusion The content of cytokines in cord serum of infants possibly has clinical significance in predicting allergic diseases.
