Objective:Objective To investigate the effect and significance of thyroid hormones and blood lipids in AD disease through detecting the serum thyroid hormones and blood lipids series levels in patients with AD, and to provide experience basis experience of the treatment and prognosis of AD.Method:1. Collection of clinical cases and specimens:103cases (mild32cases, moderate44cases, severe27cases)of outpatients and inpatients were randomly gathered during Oct.2008to Sep.2010in Jiaxing kangci hospital. Inclusion criteria:①AD group:All the patients meet the AD diagnostic criteria which made by the IV edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) of American psychiatric association, and Hachinski Ischemic Score (HIS)<4.Normal control (NC) group:31cases were healthy volunteers and examination people whose age matched had no mental retardation, no neuropsychiatric disease history, no endocrine disease history and dementia family history. All research objects were measured by MMSE,HIS, and AD group patients used Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDR) to evaluate the dementia degree of mild, moderate or severe.5ml Venous blood was collected on empty stomach at6o'clock in the morning, without anticoagulant and stand the blood samples. Then submit the samples to JiaXing Kangci hospital clinical laboratory.2. Measurement index:Measure thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),triiodothyronine (T3),thyroxine (T4),Free triiodothyronine (FT3). free thyroxine (FT4) and total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein(HDL),low-density lipoprotein(LDL). apolipoprotein A (ApoA),apolipoprotein B(ApoB) of AD patients and healthy volunteers and analyze them by statistics. Result:1. The relevant serum hormones changes of hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid(HPT):compared with NC group, T3and FT3level of AD group were significantly lower (2.17±0.43ng/ml Vs1.59±0.50ng/ml;4.98±0.67Pg/ml Vs3.95±0.81Pg/ml).There had significant differences(P<0.01); TSH,T4,FT4level of the two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). The multiple regression analysis result showed:There had negative correlation between serum T3level and CDR scores (P<0.05).That means serum T3level declined along with the growing of CDR scores.2. Blood lipids series changes. Compared with NC group, high-density lipoprotein and apolipoprotein A level of AD group markedly declined (2.12±0.38mmol/1Vs1.52±0.39mmol/1;1.65±0.12mmol/1Vs1.43±0.30mmol/1), and there were significant differences (P<0.01); low-density lipoprotein of AD group was clearly rised compared with NC group (2.12±0.38mmol/1Vs2.96±1.17mmol/1),there were significant differences (P<0.01), and there were no significant differences in AD group(P>0.05). The statistical results of total cholesterol, triglyceride and apolipoprotein B have no significance(P>0.05) and there were no significant differences in AD group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The T3and FT3level of HPT related hormone in AD patients were significantly lower, and the decline of T3was associated with the severity of AD. It suggested that the occurrence of AD is closely related to endocrine factors such as T3,FT3, and T3,FT3are risk factors of AD. To prevent and cure on account of endocrine factors may decrease the risk of AD disease and improve patients'prognosis, enhance the quality of life.2.The high-density lipoprotein and apolipoprotein A level of AD patients were markedly decrease, but low-density lipoprotein was clearly rised. It suggested that blood lipids metabolism may be related to AD disease. Lipid-lowering treatment may benefit to prevent and cure AD.
