Objective: To investigate four different technique of rabbit ear cartilage folding, and to find the most effective, stable, fixed effect lasting, and little injury to the technique. Provide a theoretical basis for clinical prominent ears surgery.Method: Male and female10rabbits of5to8months old were Chosen, their body weight were2~2.5kgs.20rabbits'ears were randomly divided into four groups, group A, B, C, D, n=5. Group A is for the simple thread embedding fixing and folding of rabbit ear cartilage, group B is for the simple slow absorption of the sutures catgut embedding fixing and folding of rabbit ear cartilage, group C is the thread embedding plus cartilage before scoring, group D is thread embedding plus cartilage after Nick; four kinds of operation are established to build a model of the rabbits prominent ear cartilage (folding model Fig.4). In the postoperative Oth,7th,14th,21th,28th,35th days,①by the general observation (visual and photographic observation of rabbit ear cartilage) folded thickness rebound,②the vernier caliper to measure the folded thickness of rabbit ear cartilage (Figure5),③The respectively on postoperative day thirty-fifth, when the folding of the rabbit ear cartilage after the removal of HE staining, microscopic observation of histopathological changes. The results using a repeated measures analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis.Results:①The observation of folded thickness rabbit ear cartilage are increasing after0th,7th,14th,21th,28th,35th days, the most obvious time is on the35th day.②he vernier caliper is to measure the folded thickness ear cartilage at group A and group B. rabbit ear cartilage folding thickness becomes larger, the rabbit ear cartilage rebound at group A and group B in the35th day are thicker than the Oth day which increased3mm and2.7mm. Group C and group D rabbit ear cartilage folded thickness's measurement, the thickness becomes larger, the rabbit ear cartilage rebound of group C and D group on the postoperative35th day is thicker than0day which increased1.7mm and1.9mm. Compared with the group A and group B back stretch weak (Figure30,31). The difference between group A, group B and group C, group D have statistics significance (P<0.05). Using different operation methods, different time points of the rabbit ear fold cartilage rebound difference has statistics significance. According to α=0.05inspection standards, inspection results, P<0.05.③The microscope group A and group B cartilage did not change significantly, groups A and B cell membrane soft tissue edema, venous dilatation, inflammatory cell reaction, sutures around the foreign body granuloma; A group of threads, in group B than in group A heavy inflammatory reaction.Group C and group D cartilage folds have similar cartilage cell hyperplasia, folds of cell volume significantly smaller, fewer, with no apparent cartilage cell membrane, triangular, large volume, cytoplasmic nuclear chromatin of red, deep, with edema, a small amount of powder in lymphocytic infiltration.④the inspection of four methods are totally different, we performed Comparison (Table3), group A and group C, group A and group D, group B and group C, group B and group D difference has statistics significance (P<0.05); group A and group B, group C and group D, there were no significant differences (P>0.05). Conclusion:①We successful established the prominent ear operation simulation of rabbit ear cartilage folding model;②the thread embedding plus cartilage before Nick (group C), thread embedding plus cartilage after Nick (group D) achieved a stable fixing the auricle effect, than simply thread embedding catgut embedding with a good effect.③The thread embedding plus cartilage before Nick (group C) and the thread embedding plus cartilage after Nick (group D) operation method,are for a greater number of animal experiments and long term observation, we hope eventually play a guiding role for clinically prominent ear operation.
