Given the fact that education in China is headed from the exam-oriented education to the quality-oriented education, then how to make classroom implementation more efficiently and productively becomes significantly vital nowadays. A major concern in college English teaching goal has transformed from reading comprehension centered style into the speaking and listening centered style. As a result, the development of oral English teaching becomes more important than before. Since Natural Approach as an emerging teaching approach is not subject to the certain masses of the students, college oral English teaching has already introduced this teaching approach into the class, although a lot of effort is being spent on applying this approach, the efficient and effective method has not yet to be developed. Especially for oral English self-taught higher education, which emphasizes the dominant position of the students in the classroom activity, it is supposed to gain more benefits from the application of this teaching approach.Aiming to research on the overall situation of the Natural Approach application in the Self-taught higher education oral English teaching, and analysis on the research outcomes of how to make NA application incorporate into the class efficiently, the research of the chosen university major students was conducted to draw the results from that. It also tends to explore how comprehensible input and affective filter factor correlated with the self-taught higher education oral English class implementation. And the author collected the data by two questionnaires and an oral English sample test in order to make the whole research more authentic. In order to find answers to the research questions, both quantitative and qualitative research methods are adopted to in this paper to get the following findings.First, Comprehensible input (seen in NA) has become an important teaching method in the college classroom implementation, especially in the oral English class with its multiple applications. The channels that teachers employ concentrate on the multimedia and internet which are exceedingly emerging in the current teaching activity. Most of the college teachers have been aware of the practical use of comprehensible input, but the number to put this teaching method effectively into practice does not account for the majority part of the whole.Second, the subjects'emotional state or attitude as an adjustable filter that freely passes, impedes, or blocks input necessary to acquisition in most of the oral English classes. Meanwhile, these subjects with low motivation generally can not do better in the study, and without good self-confidence and good self-image tend not be more successful from the point of this affective factor consideration.Third, for the comparison between the experimental classes and ordinary classes, we find out from the statistics that the classes with the application of NA (noticeable in the comprehensible input and affective filter) can perform more effectively and productively than the classes with simple teaching methods, most importantly, the experimental classes progress faster than the other classes without the application of NA.Fourth, most importantly, it is also suggested that the high achievers progress faster with NA application in the oral English class than the low achievers with the same teaching methods. The statistical comparisons show that the higher achievers can apply the NA to the practice more effectively and productively. Research results also show that most of the teaching methods are closely related to English learners'scores and students benefit a lot from using them. The findings of present study reveal that successful oral English teaching tends to hold strong beliefs toward teaching method like NA, and employ various kinds of comprehensible input strategies and affective factors in terms of different forms of higher education. At the same time, it is also advisable for teachers to employ different NA application in the class procedures and designs, and overcome difficulties they meet in using these teaching methods. Of course, self-taught higher education is still a domain that leaves more room for the teachers to explore its features and teaching application, NA is definitely regarded as a necessity in this field.
