The Success And Failure Of Wang Xiuyun's Chuju-and The Advantages And Defects Of Women's Long Creations

Wang Xiuyun,a woman writer,published her first long novel chuju in 2009.This novel belongs to official novels in the subject matter. However, compared with the common official novels,it has breakthrough and some of its characteristics in art which are not available in other official fictions. But because of various of women's limitations, this novel also has some obvious defects. Therefore, this article attempts to do a more complete analysis and discussion for this novel from it's advantages,defects and improvements.Chapter I analyzes the novel's breakthroughs in common official novels. The auther inherits the traditional advantages and characteristics of females'long creations. The work describes the heroine and other characters'inner emotion and feelings delicately and perceptually. Secondly,the use ethereal and poetic language in the progress of description. Through images,imagoes and delicate description,the novel conveys inner feelings. Finally, the advantage is also reflected in the smart structure of the work.It includes the structure of prose poem like jumping, the combination of features on the clip. This feature is not only reflected in the arrangement of chapters, and also reflected in the inner of chapters.Chapter II discusses the novel's defects, which are also the common problems of women's long creations. The first is about the work's characters'deficiencies, which are mainly reflected in the inconsistencies of character, the anomaly of character and behavior. The second is about some of the unreasonable circumstances, lack of bedding.This flaw is also manifested in two points. One is some plots are against the logic of characters.Another one is some plots are lack of bedding and reference. Thirdly, the novel has some defects in the structure.This point includes structural inconsistencies and the structure is not complete and close. In pointing out these defects, the article also analyzes the reasons for causing such an outcome.The third chapter discusses the restoration and improvement of the novel.This point is mainly directed against the general problems during the progress of women writing. It also includes two aspects.One is the rationalization of the characterization and plot.The other is to make up and enrich the content.
