The Eco-feminist Writing In Toni Morrison's Novels

Toni Morrison (1937-), an American black writer,1993 Nobel Prize for Literature winner, is one of the world's most outstanding, influential novelists, who is famed for her unique objective perspective of black women who presents a picture where African American women suffer from serious racial and gender and their unique self-consciousness to survive in isolation. Toni Morrison in her creative way have naturally integrate race, sex, and nature, revealing a dichotic world where there are the man and nature, male and female, white and black. The writing leads to the collapse of the patriarchal binary hierarchy in the style of eco-feminism, and in exploring ways to save the diversity of black women, the way can also be used to save the environment, people of color, animals, and all vulnerable groups. This paper attempts to interpret Morrison's early interpretation of six works from the eco-feminist perspective, which explore the writer'digestion binary hierarchy and the concept of harmonious coexistence of diverse advocates.The introduction discusses generally the works of Morrison's and her position in the literary world, at home and abroad and perspectives of this research, strategy and its significance. The first chapter of the papers reviews the related basic theory and viewpoints, especially on the ecological feminism, and patriarchy of dual hierarchy which aims to provides the theoretical framework for the next text analysis. The second chapter presents the dual hierarchy in ideology by analyzing representative works by Morrison from the three aspects:the human destruction of nature, the white male oppression of blacks, and women's rule in the black community. There is an objective presentation of the patriarchal binary Hierarchy. Chapter Three intends to get rid of the duality to achieve a renewed harmony. The first source of happiness comes from the black, the human nature of the return of two aspects of human and natural to redefine human beings and nature to reach the level of unity of both. Secondly, Morrison makes use of the novel folklore, rituals and other blacks analysis of black culture to explore her Return of the original black culture and heritage through a series of shape of black culture, the power of the black community to reinforce the importance of traditional cultural heritage. She argues that through the reconstruction of black culture to achieve racial equality; finally, Morrison describes how to wake up the beauty of human body and pass the love between people, and explore the road of the liberation for black women-admitted Differences in the gender balance on the basis of coexistence, thereby expressing the ultimate concern for the black women.
