Since the end of last century, Post-eighties Literature (PEL) has grown up and risen quickly, which is represented by Xu Jia's "My Loving Sunshine" and Han Han's "Three Meanings Door". However, the literary world only focuses on the culturological meanings as a whole of PEL, but disregards the significance in literature due to its mechanically-reproducing characteristic. The interposition of commercialization into PEL leads to not only the abruption between PEL and contemporary literature (CL) but also the difficulty in literary criticism from the domain of literature. Moreover, such interposition also results in the flagrant disregard of PEL's contributions in the history of literature, which brings about that the study of PEL is behind on its literary creation. Thus, I detailed investigate on the plenty of PEL's literary works and discuss the unique features of PEL to reduce initial PEL and analysis how PEL goes along with general consumer psychology. In the thesis, I redefine its role and position of PEL, and more equitably assess the historical position and contributions of PEL in order to promote the sustainable development of CL.We propose to completely understand PEL based on the cultural backgrounds and current social structure. Here I study of PEL with the theories of consumerism, bestseller book and mechanical reproduction of Benjamin's. It shows that only by combination with current cultural pattern, understanding of PEL text, and literary acceptation and consumption, can we understand and explain the relationship between processes of generation, transmission and consumption of PEL and social culture. Furthermore, only by this can we explore and achieve the developing path of PEL and CL.I find that the hot selling in markets and the cold acceptance in literary circles of PEL results from the law that economy goes deep into literature-field (LF), using the LF theory of Bourdieu's. This theory is characterized by the properties of belligerence and history. The LF is just like a topsy-turvy economic world, whose logic is that one who loses is also a winner. Thus, mainstream writers should not neglect engaging of post-eighties writers into the LF, and the latter should also watch out the entertainment predicament of the former. In order to establish a reasonable and appropriate LF, I deeply study of and offer the ways of coexistence and development between PEL and CP with the theory of collective-action by Habermas.
