The Programmatic Study On Redundant Information Of Modern Diplomatic Language

In this paper, we comprehensively use pragmatics, social linguistics, verbal communication,social psychology and so on. We systematically and fully study redundant information of modern diplomatic language in redundant information from pragmatics levels. The redundant information of diplomatic language means when a reporter or other diplomats involve some sensitive or difficult questions to answer in diplomatic occasion, diplomatic spokesman or national leaders offer some unwanted information or irrelevant information.This is a corpus-based research, corpus come from foreign ministry spokesman's regular press conference from April 2008 to March 2011 in foreign ministry of the People's Republic of China (http://www.fmprc.gov.cn/chn) and Zhou En-lai, Chen Yi, Rumsfeld's some foreign activity reports in the legendary of Zhou en-lai and the reporter asked of Zhu Rong-ji in the books and networks. This paper uses description and explanation to analyze the redundant information's classification and formation mechanism of modern diplomatic language. This article mainly divides into four parts: Firstly, the domestic scholars summarize research results of redundant information and modern diplomatic language. Secondly, the author mainly classifies fuzzy redundancy, euphemism redundancy, virtual redundancy from pragmatic strategies. This classification mainly analyze the internal components from redundant information of diplomatic language. Thirdly, the author detailedly analyzes the formation mechanism of redundant information of diplomatic language including language mechanism, psychological mechanism and role mechanism. We analyze language mechanism from preset mechanism and redundant mechanism,psychological mechanism from social psychology, political psychology, cultural psychology, role mechanism from leadership role and spokesperson role. Finally, The author analyzes the pragmatic principle including humor principle, confidential principle, highlights principle and national interests principle from external characteristics of redundant information of diplomatic language. These pragmatic principle are not only in linguistic research category, but also in psychology, sociology, communication.Therefore, this paper has the important significance to study redundant information in particular diplomatic occasion. On the one hand, it can provide favorable help for us to deeply understand the redundant information of diplomatic language. On the other hand, it also riches related research about redundant information in pragmatics.
