Research On The Musical Expression And Figure Of Three Pieces Of "Water Reflection" Piano Work

From romanticism period to the beginning of the 20th century, many productions about natural subjects had been melodized by composer in western countries. Among these natural subjects, water was considered as an important producing headspring to composers. Musical composition "Les jeux d'eau a la Villa d'Este" of Franz Liszt, "Jeux d'Eau" of Maurice Ravel and "Reflets dans l' Eau" of Claude Debussy are the most representative and valuable "water reflection music" upon piano works.In our study, the three pieces of "water reflection music" were analyzed from musical lyricism and musical figure aspects. The musical materials, the styles of subject development and the logicality of music structure were also studied in this paper. All these results could help us better understand different characteristics of the three pieces of "water reflection music".
