In the research and education of pronunciation and phonetic ability of Chinese second language learning, much research confirms that phonetic errors emerge due to the special national characteristics of those studying the language. However, there is very little research relating to the special characteristics of the first generation of Northern Burmese of Chinese ancestry. The author has used investigation, statistics, and analysis in a systematic and relevant manner, in order to give educational advice to the target group in question.In the first section, which introduces the research, meaning, and significance of this topic and nature of Chinese language learning in Burma is given. The second chapter introduces the research design and investigation, including an analysis of errors in tone, vowel, and consonant usage. The third chapter analyzes the specific phonetic errors of the target group in question and sets forth causal explanations. The fourth chapter introduces the importance of reform in Chinese language learning in the Burma Chinese school system at all levels of language ability. |
