Study On Women's Vernavular Language Newspaper

Women's vernavular language newspaper,was founded in October 1912 in Beijing, and ceased publication in May 1913. This newspaper published eleven issues altogether. It was the official newspaper of Women's participation in government and political affairs alliance. Because about two million women could not express their suggestions in newspaper, Qunying Tang created this newspaper.Women's vernavular language newspaper, was one of the three women journals of advocate Women's participatory political drive. It had a very important value. It was the important materials of study Women's liberation movement. Now there doesn't have special work or thesis on this paper in historical studies. So It has important significance on study this paper. This thesis try to make a deep study of this paper from four parts.The first part probe into the social background of publication. This paper is the inevitable outcome of the development of the Chinese modern Women's liberation movement.The second part use form and written narratives to inspect this paper,such as print and publish, columns,editor and so on.The third part introduce the content of paper from two aspects. From Women's rights aspect, paper elaborate the basic conditions that women must master when their participate in government and political affairs. These basic conditions consists of political,economic and education knowledge. This paper expound the importance of equal rights and women liberation. Paper appeal women to struggle for their own liberation. From current events aspect, paper report political news and women's movement situation promptly. Its article encourage women to pay close attention to the current affairs and the development of Women's liberation movement.The fourth part analyze historical role and influence of this paper. First, It records the difficult progress of women's struggle for rights. It has important historical data value. Second, It propagates participatory theory in simple vernacular language. It is the most powerful propaganda tool in Women's participation in government and political affairs.In short, Women's vernavular language newspaper indoctrinates new thoughts and concepts for women. It is an advanced publication.
