The Discussion On Yan Lianke's Novels

Yan Lianke is a writer who loves too much about the farmers and land , he has a clever vision on it . Much attention was payed by him on the living conditions of the farmers and armymen who are from the home village . This article holds that the main achievements of his article are those novels about armies fictions and villages .Besides the forewords and conclusion , there are three parts in my thesis : The first part analysed the distinction of the narrative visual angle and the complexity of the value standpoint in the armies fictions . It point out that the works dissected the spirit difficulties of the armymen , described the true , complex characteristics of the armymen , all these were looked squarely in the works . Weakening and disappearing the"holy"and unfolding the abundant"humanity"are the important features of armies fictions . In molding the figures of the characters , he not only manifested the good qualities of the armymen , but also exposed the poor qualities of them without any hesitation . In the value standpoint , he both expressed his sympathy and understanding to the armymen , and criticized their behaviors , they kneeling down , evading by excuse and tricking others , besides these , they also pursuit the profit with the ignorance of responsibilities and dignity . It exposed that the armymen although have set free from the land , their spirit were controlled by it . Their roots were still existing , it is difficult for them to go through their own limitation.The second part analysed the village fictions of Yan Lianke . He described the living difficulties in the village for lack of materials , shackles of customs and so on . The thesis analysed exquistly the difficult situation in the village . People were in the worries of living for a long term because of lacking materials . The custom limited their thoughts , it made them formed a kind of thinking pattern that selfish , conservative and backward , and more , they formed a kind of behavior that with blind faith and obedient thinking . Under the stress of power , the farmers have formed a dread and adore the psychology. Wether the power controller or the people who afraid of or adore the power , in the proceed of using or pursuiting the power , their soul were controlled and dominated , they garadually alienated by the power , and then became the slave of the power .The third part mainly probed into the art features of Yan Lianke's fictions . He attached much importance to the art creation , and continueously explored and brought forth new ideas in the structure , narration and language of works , he usually narrate the violence and specter , showed the ruthless and ture of the world from the extreme situation about the humanity and society . Combined the reality and illusory , the time and space very well . The correct usage of fairy tales and mysterious iamges , it formed an art world in which they can live freely and escape from death , what is more , it is very fantastic . Finally , the thesis analysed the extremly delight , local and unfamiliar features of the language used in his works .
