| The Legend of Chunhyang is an excellent romantic novel in Korean ancien t literature. It described apparently the faithful love between Chunhyang a nd Monglyong, but the deeper theme embodies deep cultural awareness of Kore an Nation. Moreover, China is just next to Korea, Cultural communication as well as literature, economy, ideology between the two countries have a long history. Chinese literary works, culture and thoughts were spreadover to th e Korean Peninsula in various ways, and accepted by local readers, imitated by the Korean writers and deeply influenced the creation of Korean Novels. The Legend of Chunhyang is created in late Korean Dynasty. At the time of t he Korean Dynasty is generally fit with Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasties. An d it combined the Chinese culture with their own culture, by utilizing and innovating. In other words, the writers mastered poems, stories, historical figures of ancient China to their works. Furthermore, storyline, narrative structure and characters are quite similar with Chinese ones.Therefore, the topic is presented based on the two points of this work above.This paper will carry out the topic with following four parts:The first chapter-introduction, will alalyze the object of study, purpo ses, methods, the research situation and value of selecting this topic. The second chapter, describes the faithful love between Chunhyang and Mongr yong apparently, reflecting the thinking of loyalty. But the deeper theme e mbodies the equality of love. In other words, it shows the ideology of the liberation of people improving the status. And the Heroine Chunhyang, known as a loyal lady through the ages, isn't faithful at first. She meets Mongryong again after a long separation, during which she suffers a lot. At last Chunhyang becomes a faithful lady from the daughterof a pros titute. And this is just coincide with the Myth of Dangun in the opinion of improving the status, in which the bear becomes a woman and gets married wi th the son of the emperor of heaven. Looking at the Korean classical litera ture, this kind ofideology of improving the status, appearing in the Myth o f Dangun, can be seen everywhere, like some folk tales in Koguryo dynasty.The love stories like King Anzang and Beauty Han, the King Sansang and the BarrelVillage lady, and the fool Ondaland Princess Pyunggang are all the ex amples of this ideology. It can be said that these stories pirated again. S o the bear's the strong desire to improve the status and awareness can be seen as the most original cultural awareness-prototype of culture. This cha pter is based on this point, sophisticate the intrinsic link between theLeg end of Chunhyang and its mythical prototype the myth of Dangun.In the third and fourth chapter, the Legend of Chunhyang not only prese nts national identity of the nation vividly, but also combines the Chinese culture with its own culture, byutilizing and innovating. The improving sta tus of Chunhyang reflects ideology of this process is embodied in the mothe r bear in the Myth of Dangun. Although, this ideology is firstly reflected in the myth but it is infiltrated by the Confucianism of Chinese and gets f urther development, and then occupies a deep seat in the Korean cultural id eology. The writers mastered historical figures of ancient China to their w orks. For the using of Chinese classical poetry and allusions is also very skillful. It can be said that the situation reached a superb. Moreover, it is quite similar in the novel's plot, themes and characters with the romant ic novel "The Prostitute Yu Tangchun meet her true love after facing suffer ing", which is writen in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.This thesis is based on this premise, combines impact study, parallel s tudy, interdisciplinary reserch, and reception study methods of comparative literature, which reveals the intrinsic link between the Legend of Chunhyan g and Chinese literature and culture.At last, looking at the dual aesthetic structure of the Legend of Chunh yang and thought in Ancient China and the comparative study of culture and literature, we can easily seethat the Legend of Chunhyang is the replica of the Myth of Dangun. It not only embodies strong cultural ideology of the Ko rean nation but also accepts the influences of Chineseculture, thought and literature. It is not gulping and step by step, but through self-selection, which is combined with national characteristics, spiritual, cultural and th e literature. Above all, the Legend of Chunhyang will be a new area of comparative li terature between China and Korea and will play a role in fueling. |
