Understanding the character and mental state of college students are not only good for students in their own mental health and growth, but for their career planning and the conduct of higher education. The study combed the theory and research of the MBTI and psychological capital. Based on the theory, research of psychological capital and of interviews with teachers and students of psychology, revised the "psychological capital Questionnaire (PCQ)" Student Version. Using the MBTI-M version of the questionnaire and the revised "Psychological Capital Questionnaire", 782 college students of five Universities in Nanjing were measured.The thesis draws the following conclusions:1. Psychological capital includes self-confidence, hope, optimism and toughness of four dimensions, the revised "Psychological Capital Questionnaire" has good reliability and fair validity, it could be used as the survey tools in this research.2. The MBTI personality type distribution of students were:INTP4.6%, INFP7.5%, ISTP4.2%, ISFP3.7%, ENTP4.0%, ENFP8.1%, ESTP3.2%, ESFP3.5%, INTJ7.9%, INFJ4.1%, ISTJ12.5%, ISFJ6.1%, ENTJ7.9%, ENFJ5.2%, ESTJ13.7%, ESFJ3.5%.3. There is a significant gender difference in the MBTI's E-I dimension, a significant professional difference in the S-N dimension, significant gender and professional differences in F-T dimension and significant of professional differences and grade differences in J-P dimension.4. Average score of psychological capital, confidence, hope, optimism and toughness were:94.3 points,21.7 points,25.0 points,17.5 points,30.2 points; The freshmenwere significantly higher than the sophomore in the dimension of optimism; boys scored significantly higher than girls, freshmen and juniors were significantly higher than the sophomore students the toughness dimension.5. There are significant differences in the MBTI's E-I dimension of the four dimensions of psychological capital; there are significant differences in the MBTI's F-T dimension of self-confidence, hope, and toughness; there are significant differences in the MBTI's J-P dimension of self-confidence, hope.6. There are significant negative correlations between all four dimensions of psychological capita and the MBTI's E--I dimension; there are significant Positive correlations between psychological capital, self-confidence, hope, toughness and the MBTI's F-T dimension; there are significant negative correlations between the self-confidence, hope of psychological capita and the MBTI's J-P dimension.7. MBTI personality type on four dimensions of psychological capital in the regression are very significant, but relatively low goodness of fit.
