Modern China is in the new phase of reform and opening up with its door wide open to other parts of the world. As with the multi-level and multi-channel economic and cultural exchange between China and other countries, language is changing all the time. Among the changing vocabulary, loanwords are the most vibrant. Loanwords have long taken an important role in Chinese vocabulary system, and with the communication of different popular cultures promoting import of new things and concepts, loanwords are more frequently used, especially in fields which have close relationship with our daily life, such as repast catering, sports, movies, IT industry and so on. These loanwords are widely spread and used in daily life through mass media and fast integrate into Chinese's language life and thus become an inalienable part of the Chinese lessons foreign students should learn. Korean belongs to Chinese character circle and a number of Chinese characters and loanwords can be seen in Korean, which has both positive and negative influence on Korean students'learning of Chinese. This essay deals with this topic in details. It will combine loanwords and teaching Chinese as a foreign language and proposes teaching methods for Korean students to learn Chinese loanwords according to the current teaching methods used in the teaching process.
