Objective: To evaluate effect intervened by the linden relaxation technique (LRT) in the group of long-term naval shipmen'anxiety on surface ship, and providing rapid and effective intervening method for alleviate naval sailors. Methods: Random draw out naval surface ship unit 1402 shipmen serve as study subjects, and screen out 141 anxiety shipmen(70≥SAS score≥50) using Zung' self-rating anxiety scale (SAS). The person's group with anxiety mood does not meet the diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders of DSM-IV. Anxiety shipmen were random divided into two groups. Intervention group (n=71, dropped out=1), and the control group (n=70). In the LRT intervention group: LRT exercises time course is 1time/day, and 30min/time to persist 10 days; The control group without relaxation training, is observed for physiological indexes at natural quiet state. In the two groups interventions before and after, Anxiety level separately is evaluated with Zung'self-rating anxiety scale (SAS). An evaluation is completed in 10 minutes. Before and after the intervention, Heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) are evaluated. Database was analyzed by version SPSS 11.5 statistical software. We used general description, t test and One-way ANOVA to analysis. Results:â‘ Anxiety level comparison in the both groups before and after intervention, Itself comparison result suggested that intervention group and controlled group of anxiety level (SAS) are reduced, and intervention group significantly reduced (t=14.361, P=0.000), the control group did not (t=1.926, P=0.058); there are significantly different between the intervention group and control group, intervention SAS score significantly decrease compare with the control group (t=-9.973, P=0.000); Before and after intervention, there are significance different the different SAS (t=12.393, P=0.000); Different anxiety degree, Mild anxiety group was observed a significant decrease after intervention group (t=12.858, P=0.000). moderate anxiety Shipmen'SAS score is significantly lower than before the intervention after the intervention (t=8.413, P=0.000).â‘¡Comparison of heart rate in every intervention: Every intervention group after the intervention of heart rate is lower than before the intervention, and they are in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th (t1-4=2.067, 3.436, 2.059, 2.403; P1-4=0.042, 0.001, 0.043, 0.019), Heart ratio variance analysis before the intervention in intervention group, did not significant different (F=1.059, P=0.391); There wasn't significant difference within the control group using paired-T test or ANOVA. Compared with control groups, the intervention group heart rate slow down significantly in 8th, 9th, 10th (t1-3=-2.000, -2.468, -2.244; P1-3=0.047, 0.015, 0.026).â‘¢Before and after intervention, Comparison of low frequency of heart rate variability lnLF(nu): After each intervention, lnLF(nu) values are dropped than the before, and there are significant different at 8th, 9th, 10th in itself comparison (t1-3=2.088, 2.111, 2.073; P1-3=0.040, 0.038, 0.042), There are no significant different during different intervention times in the intervention group (F=0.608, P=0.791); In control group, lnLF(nu) values are rised than the before, there are no significant different during the every time intervention using paired-T test or variance analysis in lnLF value(P>0.05); Compare with the control group, there are significant decrease the difference lnLF(nu) of before and after the intervention in the intervention group, and they are observed in 8th, 9th, 10th (t1-3=-2.561, -2.739, -2.045; P1-3=0.012, 0.007, 0.043).â‘£After the intervention, lnHF(nu) values of the intervention group are higher than before at eighth, ninth, tenth (t1-3=-2.043,-2.054,-2.092; P1-3=0.045,0.044, 0.040). Compare the lnHF(nu) among 10 times using paired-T test or ANOVA, There are no significant different during the different times (F=1.882, P=0.052); Control group lnHF(nu) gradually decrease after each intervention, but there are no significant different between the before and after intervention (P>0.05); compare with the control group, lnHF(nu) is more rise of trends in the intervention group, and in intervention of eighth, ninth, tenth, and appears statistics significance (t1-3=2.750, 2.831, 2.426; P1-3=0.007, 0.005, 0.017).⑤E xperimental basis before and after comparison: Comparing the value of 10th and 1th foundation HR, lnLF(nu), lnHF(nu), there were no significant differences (t1-3=1.930, 0.091, 0.832; P1-3=0. 058, 0.927, 0.408).â‘¥Once assessment anxiety level after intervention 2 months: both groups anxiety score are decreased than before intervention, the control group significant differences didn't exis(tt=1.547, P=0.126),and the change exhibited significant difference in the intervention group ( t=6.391, P=0.000 ) ; comparison the number between groups results illustrate, mild and moderate anxiety soldier significant decrease, those without anxiety soldier significant.Conclusion:1. Linden relaxation technique is effective relaxation method. And it improved naval shipmen'anxiety mood, mild anxiety will back to no anxiety, moderate anxiety relieving to mild anxiety, so for intervention of moderate anxious naval soldier may be take longer (10â†'20 times).2. Linden relaxation technique can significantly reduce the severity of anxiety and tensions.3. Linden relaxation techniques can improve the shipmen'HRV indexes in the frequency domain, reducing sympathetic nerve activity, enhanced cardiovascular vagus activity. It can improve the functional state of autonomic nerve of shipmen.
