Research background:Emotional control, awareness and evaluation about oneself could affect one's confidence when a nurse complishes the job. Then it'll affect the quality of clinical nursing work. Now there're nursing students under different training types in hospitals. It's difficult to finish the continuing clinical education to different kinds of nursing students for hospitals. Firstly, study on emotional inteligence, self efficacy and coping style of different sorts of nursing college students could provide theoritic support to nursing talents'affective education in university and also could give advice to curriculum about affective education to different sorts of nursing students. Secondly, it could provide reference to nursing talents'continuing education for hospitals. So that the nursing talents will grow up rapidly to be competent to the clinical nursing work. The status of emotional inteligence, self efficacy, and coping style of different sorts of nursing students could affect their development while on campus, also affect their performance and psychological competence after they graduated.Research purpose:To assess the emotional intelligence, self efficacy and coping style of different sorts of nursing college students in order to provide suggestions for implementing training objective of different sorts of nursing college students.Research method:This study takes chinese version of EIS(Emotional Intelligence Scale), GSES (General Self-Efficiency Scale) and SCSS (Simple Coping Style Scale) to investigate the emotional intelligence, self efficacy and coping style of 1315 different sorts of nursing college students of Binzhou Medical University by the method of Stratified cluster sampling. We assess emotional intelligence (from overall level and four factors which are perceiving emotions, utilizing emotions, regulating emotions and understanding emotions), perceived self-efficacy (which will be measured by individual generalized self-efficacy), and the coping style (which will be explored from the active aspect and the negative aspect). We'll apply descriptive statistic analysis, t test, analysis of variance, corresponding analysis and linear regression.Research results:1. The characteristics of emotional intelligence of different sorts of nursing college studentsThis finding shows the emotional intelligence of nursing students under 2-year top-up nursing program of Binzhou Medical University is a little higher than that of nursing college students in China. And that of 5-year bachelor degree program is lower than that of nursing college students in China. Nursing students under 5-year bachelor degree program,5-year correspond vocational bachelor degree program and 3-year diploma program show the best perceiving emotional ability. But nursing students under 2-year top-up nursing program show the best utilizing emotional ability. All sorts of students show the worst understanding emotional ability.There're remarkable differences in only-child or not, coming from cities or not of emotional intelligence of all sorts of nursing college students in Binzhou Medical University by comparision. The emotional intelligence of only child is higher than that of not-only-child. The emotional intelligence of students from cities is higher than that of students from villages. There're remarkable differences in student-leader or not of nursing students'emotional intelligence under 5-year bachelor degree program,5-year correspond vocational bachelor degree program, and 3-year diploma program. The emotional intelligence of student leader is higher than that of ordinary students. There're no remarkable differences in gender of all sorts of nursing college students in Binzhou Medical University.2. The status of self efficacy of different sorts of nursing college students There're remarkable differences in only-child or not, coming from cities or villages, student-leader or not, and grade of perceiving self-efficacy of all sorts of nursing college students in Binzhou Medical University. The self efficacy of only child is apparently higher than that of not-only-child. The self efficacy of nursing students from cities is apparently higher than that from villages. The self efficacy of student leaders is apparently higher than that of ordinary nursing students. Nursing students' self efficacy increases with the increase of grade. There're remarkable differences in catogory of nursing college students'self efficacy of Binzhou Medical University. Using a LSD comparative analysis, we found that nursing students'self efficacy under 2-year top-up nursing program is obviously higher than that under 5-year bachelor degree program,5-year correspond vocational bachelor degree program, and 3-year diploma program.3. The status of coping style of different sorts of nursing college students There're remarkable differences in student-leader or not of all sorts of nursing college students'active coping style in Binzhou Medical University. Apparently, the score of student leaders'active coping style is higher than that of ordinary students'. There're remarkable differences in gender, student-leader or not of the other three sorts of nursing college students'negative coping style, with the exception of 3-year diploma program. Generally the score of the male students'negative coping style is lower than that of female students'. Apparently student leaders'score of negative coping styles is lower than that of ordinary students'. There're remarkable differences only in student-leader or not of 3-year diploma program students' negative coping style:The score of student leaders'negative coping style is apparently lower than that of ordinary students'.4. Emotional intelligence is positively associated with self efficacy. Both of them are positively related with active coping style while negatively related with negative coping style.5.Taking all the factors of emotional intelligence as independent variable, self efficacy and active coping style as dependent variable, we proposed multiple linear regression models. The fitting results come to the following conclusion:using emotion, understanding emotion and controlling emotion are influsive to self efficacy; using emotion and controlling emotion are re influsive to positive coping style while no facors are influsive to passive coping style.Conclusions and suggestions:The total emotional intelligence and self efficacy of all sorts of nursing college students in Binzhou Medical University are not high. And the emotional intelligence of different sorts of nursing students show uneven internal development. There're little differences in different sorts of nursing college students'emotional intelligence, self efficacy, and coping styles. Based on the status of different sorts of students, we suggest that managers adjust different sorts of nursing students'curriculum, so that each program could underline its advantage and finish the training object. Especially, humanistic class should be increased in all. To enhance emotional education, or improve their emotional intelligence level by taking more paths. So that they could improve their self efficacy and increase active coping style. Based on character of different sorts of nursing college students, we suggest different training methods and educational modes.
