| Folk Songs is a wonderful work of folk songs, it takes root in the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi which is crystallization of the people's daily work, life embodying the Northern people mental, spiritual and emotional art. Unique geography, history, politics and economic background created them with these cultural characteristics. Shaanxi folk songs-rough and bold vocals, distinctive northern lyrics-are full of local color. The choral works adapted from the northern Shaanxi folk songs are widely sung, the composer's purpose is to pursue the better artistic effect, digging the deep-level musical beauty in northern Shaanxi folk music.In the efforts of several generations, there are already dozens of northern Shaanxi folk songs which were adapted for the first choral works and published.50 years of the 20th century, northern Shaanxi folk songs adapted by the Wang Fangliang were widely sung, including ten CD songs published by the Shanghai Cultural Publishing House. Now, researches have not only stay in the Northern Shaanxi Folk Songs music itself, and its related folk customs, geography, economy and politic have also catch the sight of the researchers. To our relief, to protect this valuable cultural heritage of Northern Shaanxi Folk Songs, and make it better able to inherit and carry forward. Yan'an University has set up LuYi Folk Song Chorus which specializes in singing Shanbei Folk Songs to inherit and develop this kind of art. Also, Xi'an Conservatory of Music has established specialized Shanbei FolkSong Study Group, while carrying on systematic research and related composition, they have got outstanding achievements.(Many examples referred in this study come from the Chorus without Accompaniment, Twelve Songs of Shanbei Folk Song edited by HanLankui in Xi'an Conservatory of Music). Trough analyzing the composing techniques and meanings of such chorus works, I comb out and sum up the adapted chorus works of Shanbei Folk Songs, wishing that my study could offer some references to personal chorus arrangements.The following is the passage structure:The first part is chapter 1. It is a prelude which gives us a general introduction about the related composing background of chorus works in different times as well as the related achievements and current development of Shanbei Folk Songs and its chorus studied by domestic experts. Part 2 includes Chapter 2 Chapter 3 and Chapter 4. In this part, I analyze composing techniques of the adapted chorus works of Shanbei Folk Songs in different periods, and use notes to write down the applied differences in the same technical level, which is the core of this study as well as the key point of the whole passage. I have divided this part into three levels. The first is Chapter 2, through analyzing the technical methods, I summarize the common parts or similarities of composer's chorus arrangements on melody features, tone style and characteristics, special musical degree as well as musical time and rhythm in two different periods. Chapter 3 is the second level. Relying on above analysis, this chapter pays much attention to composer's different and personalized harmony settlement and part arrangement in concerted music due to the different periods. The third level is Chapter 4. Combining the development of modern music with the analysis of related works, this chapter tells us the common part of musical techniques revealed in these works and the development of modern music. In the light of analysis, comparison and summary of these three levels, this passage sort out the related methods and applications of multi-part chorus works adapted by Shanbei Folk Songs in different periods, together with what I've learned. I get a systematic and preliminary conclusion.Part 3, After analyzing and comparing in full dimension, this part sums up the above related conclusions. In addition, my work briefly states the significances in understanding the chorus works of Shanbei Folk Songs, inheriting Shanbei Folk Songs and developing chorus causes of Shanbei Folk Songs. |
