Shimen is in the north-west Hunan province, which is attached to the Changde city. On the dialect map of China, Shimen dialect belongs to the southwest subdialect. Repetition is widely practiced in Shimen dialect, also has the following features that most parts of speech is overlapping with suffixå„¿ER,and there are still some more special duplication.Through studying the repletion of all parts of speech used in Shimen, this paper describes and analyzes their forms, meanings and grammatical functions, meanwhile, through comparing with Putonghua peripheral dialect and other typical areas of southwest subdialect, this work discusses those special functions of Shimen dialect which are unique.What's more, from then took the origin of repletion in Shimen dialect research,this work attempts to make a reasonable explanation based on description. Through the investigation, it can help us understand the pattern of china dialects, what results can the morphology of different development bring out, and what kind of role to play in the grammar system. If confirmed " overlap with suffixå„¿ER in Shimen dialect" is the uniqueness,it will be a point of innovation.
