Research On The Applicability Of The Internet Altruistic Behavior Scale And The Relationship Between Moral Judgment And Internet Altruistic Behavior Of Post Graduates

Altruistic behavior refers to the helping behavior which is voluntary and not expects any return. Moral judgment is the whole process during which people make judgment on the moral phenomenon based on their knowledge. Cultivating altruistic behavior of students is not only means of moral education, but also one of its goals. As a cognitive factor, one's moral judgment plays an important role in his altruistic behavior. With the popularity of the internet, there have been new forms of altruistic behavior-the internet altruistic behavior. Internet altruistic behavior refers to the voluntary behavior on the internet which benefits other people and the society and not expects any return. Many more research was done on influencing factors of altruistic behavior, but there are much less research on the internet altruistic behavior. Post graduate students are one of the most concentrated community in the using of internet, and among them, internet altruistic behavior is very Popular. Research on post-graduates'internet altruistic behavior not only enrich the content of altruistic behavior, but also provide the reference for moral education in university and are beneficial to construct the healthy and civilized internet atmosphere.Based on many previous studies, this thesis research the applicability of "the internet altruistic behavior scale" at first, and then take this scale and "the moral judgment test" as Measurement tools to explore the relationship between internet altruistic behavior and moral judgment. The characteristics of post graduates'internet altruistic behavior and the relation between internet altruistic behavior and moral judgment are key points of this reseach,and its aporia is the applicability of "the internet altruistic behavior scale".Research conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) The results of the internet altruistic behavior scale's applicability research shows that item discrimination of this scale is good, and its reliability and validity are acceptable, so that proves this scale can be used to measure post graduates;(2) Different from altruistic behavior, no gender difference, grade or specialty difference exists in the whole internet altruistic behavior, but it does exist in the four dimensions of the scale. The difference indicates that female show more internet-support than male, but less internet-guidance; science post graduates shows more internet-reminding than art post graduates, but less internet-support;(3)The moral judgment ability of post graduates gradually increases with their grades, and both their moral cognition and emotions are similar to under-graduates';(4) There exists significant positive correlation between internet altruistic behavior and moral judgment. It is the significant and positive predict role that moral judgment play in the internet altruistic behavior and its four dimensions, and the role shows characteristics on gender and specialty.
