At present, china is in a period of transition on social structure and economic system meanwhile. Different kinds of social questions and conflicts occurred one after another, show a multiply trend. The arising scale and affection caused by mass disturbances, has arisen widen attention and research. There are several elements lead to group events, not only macroscopic elements in social circumstance and policy, but also microscopic elements in individual and group psychology and so on. The reason as imbalance of allocation in profits, the strain in structure, make the events happened, its trend depends on complex psychology of the mass. For preventing and coping with the events in properly, it needs to connect with the background of transition period, explore the development of the mass internal psychology mechanism. It is significant to avoid and handle the group event.The thesis chooses a special perspective, socio-psychology, under the guide of political psychology methodology, by qualitative analysis method, according to a few of theories, for example, sociology, administration and so on, absorbing foreign famous theories as value-added theory, social trust theory, mass psychology theory, take a notable event in shishou (Hubei) as a example, explore the function of group psychology, which impact the group events seriously, and provide some mechanism to solve itThere are five parts of contents of this thesis. ChapterⅠ, analyzes the significance of research, the status of domestic and international research, and the main thesis of the theory and ideas and methods. ChapterⅡ, introduce the definition of group event, characters, types, reasons and impacts; ChapterⅢ, pay attention to the develop process, comparing the individual psychology with group psychology, proved the impact of group psychology in the mass disturbance for further; chapterⅣ, analyzes the shishou event in detail, include the reason and process, base on the above mentioned fragment to explain the appearance and function of group psychology in the event. The last part, conclusion, for the prevention and dealing with the mass disturbance, set Five strategies to work in concert with the beginning.
