In order to improve management efficiency and effectiveness, hinder negative effects of informal organization and provide better service for teaching, research and personnel training, it is an eager issue for military manager to constitute scientific and effective management strategies for informal organizationThis paper studies management for the informal organization of cadets from the perspective of social network. The main contents of this paper include:(1) The according concepts and theory of cadets'informal organization and management are put forward. Firstly, the background and meaning of this research are given. Secondly, both domestic and foreign literature of informal organization is summarized from concepts and formation dimension and affection dimension. At last, an introduction of the theories of organization and social network is graven, and the characteristics of military academies are discussed.(2) The causes, types, characteristics and management of the informal organization of cadets are studied. With respect to the particularity of military academy, the special formation conditions of cadets'informal organization are analyzed. The causes, types and features of informal organization are put forward. At last, according to different types of informal organization, the positive and negative impacts on the management of cadets are analyzed.(3) Empirical research of cadets'informal organizations is designed and performed. Based on relevant research, the empirical research, including questionnaire is designed and two cadet teams in different grades are selected to perform the empirical research. With the data of the two teams'informal organization, the properties of informal organization network are analyzed. At last, factor analysis and the reliability of this research are verified, which has ensured the reliability of the survey data and results.(4) The informal organizations of Cadets are analyzed with social network. Based on the previous empirical data, the selected two teams of students are studied with social network analysis. At first, an informal network of the students is established, and the informal organization network diagrams are draw. Then, connection matrix is analyzed based on the diagrams and informal student organization's network properties are gained. At the same time, the longitudinal comparisons are made related to number, cohesion and other properties of the informal organizations , and the changes and reasons for differences is analyzed to understand the structure and characteristics of the informal organization.(5)The management measures for informal organization are proposed. According to people-oriented management philosophy and the actual situation of cadet teams, management measures for cadet teams are proposed from five key aspects: enhance their understanding, strengthen ideological construction, strengthen the organization, system assurance and attention to key figures, which intends to make them play an active role and inhibit the negative effects.(6)The thesis performs trial study of introducing management model into cadet's management. The thesis explains the trial method in two teams of students, records the trial information and the quality evaluation information of students, and analyzes the management results. The thesis provides detailed data of integrated quality of students before enrollment and after four years of military education, as well as an evaluation questionnaire completed by students. The data proves that model-based social network management is valid and works for the improvement of students'integrated quality, and promotion of the effect of management.
