The Study On The Social Security Issues Of The New Genration Of Migrant Workers

The new generation of migrant workers, between16and28years old, were born inthe1980s or1990s and they belong to rural population. With the rapid development ofeconomic society, the new generations of migrant workers have begun to be a new powerto the urbanization and have become the mainstay in the society. Recently, ourgovernment switches to the view for paying more attention to the issue of migrant workersand takes a series of measures to protect their legal rights. However, the future is notoptimistic.First of all, the thesis states the producing and development of the new generation ofmigrant workers, focusing on the group characteristics. For example, higher educationlevel, more open consumption conception, stronger human rights consciousness, increasedcity identity and so on. Then it analyzes the significance of building the social securitysystem of the new generation of migrant workers, which will achieve to sustainabledevelopment of society and will be able to solve the "Agriculture, Countryside andFarmer" issues perfectly. Secondly, the paper not only mainly talks about the situation onthe social security of the new generation of migrant workers, including endowmentinsurance, work-related injury insurance, medical insurance, and unemployment insurance,but also talks about the reason why the new generation of migrant workers could not enjoythe social security. At last, the thesis takes some measures for their own characteristics,their actual demand and their own rights in order to improve migrant workers' socialsecurity system from several parts of views, such as system, law, government and migrantworkers.The thesis holds the view that the new generation of migrant workers' social securitysystem will be able to protect their own rights and help to enrich and develop ourtheoretical system of social security.
