Facing The Security Challenges Of The Current In The Southwest National Governance

The national security problem of border area has been giving full attention to important issues by all dynasties and governments. The national security not only relates with the stable and harmonious of frontier region, but also relates with the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty unity. In new period, the procession of economic globalization and regional economic integration is accelerating, international politics, economic situation is complex and changeful, demands of domestic economic and social development is rising. Our country's border security is facing new challenges and threats. The article takes Lincang city for example, focusing on the danger factors and the countermeasures that the land boundaries of our country face to.This paper is divided into six parts; the basic research framework is as follows:The first part is the introduction to the study, briefly describes the reasons, purpose, significance, and major research of the research topics. This part conducted a review of the frontier governance at home and abroad.The second part sorts out the theory of the national security and our frontier related to national security. This section focuses on the meaning of the national security and national security of China's frontier, and then described the elimination of the necessity and importance of national security risks in China's frontier.The third part is the part of the empirical research. This part analyzes the current challenges which the Lincang border national security facing. The factors that threaten the national security of Lincang include traditional security and non-traditional threats to national security factors coexist, foreign non-mainstream consciousness form a strong penetration, drugs and AIDS is serious, the people involved in frontier governance are not enthusiastic and national problem's long-standing.The fourth part studies the root causes of the challenges that the national security of the Lincang facing. The main reason which caused the security challenges is:the complex and volatile international political and economic situation; Lincang's regional economic and cultural development base is weak and the constraints of the natural and geographical conditions are bad; affected by traditional border control policy; long-term impact of local ethnic factors.Part Ⅴ is the countermeasures. This study suggests that maintenance the national security of Lincang city, effectively carry out border control should proceed from the following aspects:the central government continue to promote good-neighborly, security and prosperity to neighbors "strategic policy; efforts to promote the economic and cultural development of Lincang city; to enhance national cohesion and solidarity; to respect the people's dominant position and to strengthen the building of grassroots organizations.Part Ⅵ is conclusion. This part summary and conclusion the security challenges that Lincang city facing, and proposes solutions. Lastly, give the general significance and universal value of the frontier governance difficulties and their Solutions.
