Since Christianity resumed to disseminate in rural areas in China, the scale of Christ populace in rural area has become massive and its influence has been greater and greater in public lives within more than thirty years'development. Their characteristics have transferred from the early stage of "many seniors, many females and ones with low education" to "many young females and ones with high education" and there is a trend that those who believe in Christ are younger and younger.Because females are the direct bearers of fertility, their attitudes towards fertility will influence birth decision and actual birth behavior. The author, from the demography perspective, does the research about Christ females'fertility desire in the border of Jiangsu province and Shandong province in the rural areas so as to get valuable achievements. The writer wishes that those achievements can offer some suggestions and references for population and family planning's services and related management. After three months'on-the-spot investigation, thorough interviews with married and child-bearing age Christ females and analysis of questionnaire, the writer draws the following conclusions:Firstly, the primary criterion for mate choices for rural Christ females is that their future husbands have to believe in Christ, however, the unbalance of sex and age structure in the country results in the difficult for Christ females selecting their mates, which objectively causes late marriage and postponed child-bearing.Secondly, the fertility desire of young Christ females in the countryside has changed from "having a son to continue their family line, getting more people to have more children, viewing sons as better than daughters" to "having less children or no child, valuing sons but not disdaining daughters". However, there is no fertility decision-making power for females, so they still prefer sons under outside pressure.Thirdly, young Christ females get pregnant without considering the local population policy and refuse to do abortive operation because of Christ belief. This will not only cause some contradiction with population and family planning department, but also bring some new challenges for population and family planning departments'services and related management.Fourthly, population and family planning department should strengthen the communication and coordination with churches, make use of the church power to propagate new birth culture, offer safe, effective, good and cheap contraceptive techniques for young Christ females and decrease the rate of their unwanted pregnancy.
