Nowadays, material rewards is widely adopted as a motivational techniques in teaching practices. The flooding use of the material rewards make passive impact on the pupils and disturb the teaching order, deny the subjectivity of students to some extent.The paper uses questionnaire and interviews, selecting one primary school in xinyang of henan province, with the stratified sampling principle, gives the questionnaire survey to two, three, four, five, six grade students. There are total 320 questionnaires, 300 are recycled, 293 questionnaires are valid. According to gender, teaching age, with the random sampling principle, 10 teachers are interviewed in order to understand and analyze the implementation of material rewards and teachers'attitude and rethinking.The paper makes a thorough inquiry on both teachers and students'perspective. Material rewards actually makes impact on pupils'moral socialization. Such as mammonish, behavior motivation disorders, rewarding laboring thoughts, selfishness, lacking of responsibility and collective awarenessare. It is necessary to rethink the true aims of material rewards. Reasonable material rewards behavior is in favor of correcting the teaching attitude, reshaping assessment criteria, desalting the flooding of the materialism, regulating the teaching order, to improve the intensity of the education management and build up a good primary school culture.Due to the research time and limitation of data, at the same time, the regional differences and living conditions all could influence observation and research conclusion. The writer believes that material rewards reflects back the flooding of the consumerism in commodity society at present. That is to say, material rewards is not only an education problem, but a proposition which will have a profound impact on the whole society and mankind.
