Starting from the basic concepts and course objectives of the Chinese Course under the New Curriculum Standards during the compulsory education stage, students' autonomous learning of the comprehensive learning activities in junior Chinese classes is selected as the research object. The author analyses the current status and characteristics of Chinese learning in junior middle schools. Combined with several empirical cases, the author emphatically clarifies the necessity of develping autonomous learning in the course of Chinese comprehensive study, which is based on a large collection of the related literature data at home and abroad. In this thesis, some related issues from different views of teaching, teachers and students are discussed.This thesis is divided into four chapters besides the brief introduction and the conclusion:Introduction According to the new Chinese Curriculum Standards, this part is mainly on the function and value of the Chinese comprehensive study activities, and it also discusses the significance and the goals of carrying out the autonomous learning research.Chapter One The necessity of the transformation of students' learning mode is discussed. According to the understanding of the concept of the New Curriculum Standards, the theory of the western constructivism and the analysis of the current status on students' Chinese learning in junior middle schools, this part explains the necessity of changing from the passive study mode to autonomous learning mode from views of the theoretical and practical points.Chapter Two The understanding and application of the independent study and the comprehensive study are discussed. This part, from the different understanding of the autonomous learning and comprehensive study in the domestic and foreign fields, analyses the connotation and the characteristic, and discusses the actual practical application in junior middle school language classrooms.Chapter Three Study of four cases of autonomous learning is shown. According to the case study method and principles of evaluation, four teaching cases are selected, which are from the Chinese textbooks in junior middle schools (e.g. Learn how to use the library; A special gift dedicated to Teachers' Day; A survey of the tourism resources in your hometown; What has the modern science and technology brought us), in this part, the thesis also shows the the specific situations of launching the autonomous learning in the comprehensive learning activities consciously and good effects that are achieved in the study. Chapter Four A few conclusion views of conducting autonomous learning In this part, considering the advantages and disadvantages in the actual teaching process, three teaching views are presented. And it also gives three suggestions which are from the feedback of teaching, teachers, and students.Conclusion On the demand of the construction of new Chinese classes under the background of the new Chinese Curriculum Standard, the author has a good outlook on students' autonomous learning with the help of the teachers, and the academic value of the study is pointed out in this thesis.
