With the development of the military, navigation, electronic science and advanced technology, the concept of time synchronization is applied to engineering and scientific fields more and more.This paper mainly described the theory and implementation process of the range modernization time synchronization system. The paper made a general introduction to interface standard of the signal transmission cable.In this paper, the serial time information is encoded with programmable logic device, and a time synchronization system which containing modulation and demodulation functions is completed, the time information is transmitted to the user by optical fiber. PPS pulse signal is demodulated by GPS receiver, and synchronized with the crystal frequency division signal of system. A variety of frequency synchronization time signal is produced and sent to the other test devices and the synchronization of the system is completed. Besides, the accuracy and reliability of the time information of system modulation is analyzed.
