Java language is a milestone in the history of programming languages. Java Applet which comes from Java develops rapidly in recent years combining computer graphics, multimedia, networking technology and so on. With the development of the information society, the traditional computer aided instruction software can not meet the needs of modern education, powerful computing capabilities and interactive features of the Java Applet technology is born out in this environment.Java Applet has a realistic interface design features, powerful graphics and computing capabilities, and interact with a series of events and response mechanisms. Teaching resources created by Java Applet can have a vivid performance of physical phenomena and help the students to learn.This paper first analyzes the status of the teaching of university physics and construction of university physics resources, problems, proposed the significance of this research project; then analyzes theoretical basis of the use of Java Applet technology for the construction of the university physical resources, and described the characteristics of the various theories and searched for the support of the theories; then focuses on Java language and Java Applet technology, Java Applet college physics teaching resources building design process to achieve specific case analysis. In the specific case study, the author details the design of the three cases: the wave equation shows the mechanical wave, wave superposition principle and the phenomenon of simple harmonic motion pendulum.The results of this study provide methods that can be refereed for the improvement of the university physics teaching and the construction of teaching resources. And it has theoretical and practical significance for the promotion of the modernization of the teaching of university physics.
