With development of human exploitation in deep sea, it is obviously important to build breakwater to prevent structures from being destroyed by huge wave. The mooring system is critical for holding a floating breakwater against wind, waves and current. Based on wave radiation and diffraction theory and shallow water green function method, the hydrodynamic response of moored plate-pontoon type breakwater is systematically investigated by use of boundary element method. The wave exciting force and motion amplitude of this system are obtained corresponding to different plate and pontoon parameters. |
