The Aptian flora from the coal-bearing strata (Lipovtsy Formation)in the Markovsky Peninsula of South Primorye, Far East Russia, isreported in detail in this thesis. The thesis introduces over85species ofabout50genera, and their geological background. Meanwhile, thecomparisons of Lipovtsy flora with its coeval floras from the adjacentregion of eastern Heilongjiang of Northeast China, are discussed. Thecomparisons demonstrate that the Aptian flora from the Markovskypeninsula has more similarity with the floras of the Jixi Group ofHeilongjiang, in which the Lipovtsy flora is more similar to the Mulingflora and Dongning flora, aged in the Aptian. While the Ussuri flora ismore close to the Chengzihe-Didao flora, with the age of the lateBarremian or to early Aptian.
