Sandstorms always happen when the temperature on the ground is highest in a day. In order to analyze the relationship between the temperture and sandstorms, in the spring of2010, we recorded the temperature nearby3rd tower in Minqin, northwest of China. And we analyze the temperature statistical characteristics (the pulse, the probability distribution) and power spectrum when the sandstorms pass and PM10, wind speeds, stability which influence it. The main conclusions are as follows:1) The temperature has a strong fluctuate as wind speeds. In clear sky, the temperature fluctuation is primarily influenced by the diurnal variation; but it is strongly influenced by wind speeds in sandstorms.2) In the non-sandstorms and the stationary phase of sandstorms, the temperature fluctuation is generally close to the near-Gaussian behavior, however, the probability density distribution of the temperature fluctuation is influenced by diurnal variation. The difference between the day and the night is great (the skewness is larger in night). Before the sandstorms happen, the probability density distribution is complex, its distribution covers from the Gaussian distribution to the exponential distribution.3) This article points out that the temperature does not completely comply with the law of-5/3powers, in different wind speeds or stability, the spectral slope is changed from-1to-5/3. The difference in PM10concentration has little effect on the spectral slope of the inertial subrange.
