In view of a widely existence of greater than90%in water content and less than10cubic meters in daily output in production wells of our country’s oilfields in the later of waterprojection production, while production fluid profile logging tool to give dynamic data foroilfield production of lower flow minimum wall and higher resolution water contentmeasuring having not been provided. In this paper, the measuring methods and instrumentssuitable of low outflow and high water content have been developed. Through experiments, some harvests have been achieved. These file the blank in production profile logging ofvertical well, and have a significant guided value to oilfield exploit of low porosity and lowpermeability.Based on some principles in hydromechanics, a theoretical model that suits themeasurement of low outflow has been found, and some affecting factors in model have beenanalyzed. A float flow meter that it is28mm in outside diameter is made by a special design.Through a series of laboratory experiments, it is established that in a outflow range of0-20cubic meter/day, the relationship between the output frequency of this float flow meter andthe outflow of testing liquid is linear. The outflow’s minimum wall of the float flow meter isestimated, that is even if in the case of water outflow’s minimum wall (0.24cubic meter/day)and oil outflow’s minimum wall (0.05cubic meter/day) provided by experimental simulatesystem, the output frequency of the float flow meter is still higher. It is show that the floatflow meter developed is suitable of measuring the outflow of low production fluid oil wells.Based on the observation and analysis to low outflow moving pattern of oil and water ina modeling production fluid profile well logging tool made by Lucite tube in a verticalmodeling well, as well as the outcome achieved by predecessor, combined with someprinciples in hydromechanics, this paper has found a theoretical model of measuring watercut using coaxial capacitor, and developed a new coaxial-array capacitor of more suitable ofmeasuring the higher water cut. The behavior of measuring water cut in a range of0-100%isstudied by means of experimental measurements. The result shows that in the range of0-100%water cut, the water cut behavior of the coaxial-array capacitor is logisticalrelationship, and has a higher water cut resolution especially when the water cut is greaterthan90%, and has a better repeatability. It shows that the water cut sensor developed issuitable of measuring the water cut in low production fluid and high water content production wells.
