Bottom water reservoir is general founded in the oil field all over the world. There are a large number of bottom water reservoirs in China. It has huge petroleum reserves in the Huabei Oil Field, the Liaohe Oil Field, and some other main oil fields.This article is to research bottom water reservoirs in the Liaohe Oil Field, through the petroleum geology, reservoir features, production situation. Find out key factor about bottom water coning by using numerical model, and types of bottom water coning. Research the improve approach for bottom water reservoirs, such as make appropriate development plan, appropriate oil-water working rule, control development speed, B.H. pressure and artificial barrier. These measures are effective for control bottom water coning. The artificial barrier technology has a marked effect in the Block616, can protect reservoir and improve reservoir physical property. Just launch researches and demonstrations for artificial barrier and other measures。Barrier bed is a impervious rock bed, which take a part in blocking fluid in development course. Artificial barrier is a man-made separating board, which build in blocking-dose setup at the top of oil aqueous interface in bottom water reservoir, for resisting bottom water coning. Artificial barrier is taking a crucial place in development course.The Huanxiling Oli Field massiveness bottom water reservoir is the type of fault block oil reservoir. Huan616Block, Huan17Block, Qi2-7-10Block are typical reservoir. Huan616Block locate at5km east of Antun Village, Youwei Contryside, Linghai City, Liaoning Province。This block locate in the middle of Upper Bench of western depression of Liaohe Basin, Huan60Block is in the Northeast, Huan127Block is in the Southwest. This block has a high degree of exploration. Seismic exploration was beginning in1957, until the year1993,3-D seismic has been completely covered.The development of bottom water reservoir is a tough problem in the world wide. At the moment, the main problem of bottom water reservoir developing is to against bottom water coning. In actual product activities, water coning is a serious problem; it caused crude production decreased significantly. So control and relieve water coning at least is the important problem for all oil companies.Mainly factors of affect water coning are:producing pressure drop, oil production rate, hole site, permeability ratio between horizontal direction and vertical direction, sedimentary rhythm, oil/water viscosity ratio, and barrier between oil and water bed.The water coning phenomenon observed in bottom water coning reservoir usually caused by pressure drop around the borehole and material equilibrium relationship in the reservoir, bottom water move upward,form in shape of coniform oil aqueous interface. Most of fluid in water drive reservoir is permanent flow, fluid is in the boundary of constant potential, every crude product can cause constant pressure drop down. Bottom water buildup a upward power comes by wellbore pressure drop down, then force the bottom water raise up to a definite altitude, there is a balance situation between upward force and water gravity in the oil-water interface. Pressure drop is decreasing by distance increasing depart from wellbore, cause upward force decreasing, oil-water interface decline by the side, comes into stable water coning shape. Oil is above the interface, water is under the interface stable. By the produce increase, height of water coning is growing. Until reach the place of perforation, water comes into wellbore. The use of artificial casings, without reducing the oil production of oil wells, can directly reduce water production wells. Change616block verification is feasible and effective.
