After the second national soil survey and carry out a comprehensive Evaluation of Farmland, the related achievement data type is many. These outcome data are generally the form of paper maps, and text reports to be saved. Effective management of these data, and will effectively promote the relevant outcome data intact, save, auxiliary, popularizing and applying the results of these data, and it can save a lot of resources. But the current form of preservation of these data to a certain extent hindered the scientific management and utilization of relevant data. It is from the purpose of this article, and on the premise of look around the current domestic and foreign advanced management information system, to conduct the research, development, and implementation of the system.This use of computer technology and GIS technology through relevant geographic information system software, including ArcGIS, Mapinfo, mainly in the Hubei Province soil resource information for carriers, design and implementation of management information system of soil resource in Hubei Province, and in terms of features, performance, ease of use, security meet practical requirements. Mainly completed work:First, data processing and processing:System information include second national soil survey data and the Hubei provincial evaluation of farmland outcome data, divided into soil map, nutrient map, crop zoning map, journal of the Hubei soil and soil types, and analysis of relevant data and early preconditioning:In the raster map of the information, the first scan processing, and make use of relevant image processing software to format, size, effects to be amended; Vector layer classified using GIS software to check the integrity of the geographical coordinates and topology of such data; Text reports, modify a style, then save as a.RTF format file.Second, data management:Firstly analysis of the current mainstream of various database technologies, development GIS component technology, and in accordance with the present system, select the relevant characteristics of the database, as well as GIS plug-in to the system. This study used a SQL server2005database, the key management of spatial data and non-spatial data. Spatial data management mainly use ArcSDE of ESRI.Third, the system development:the system development:in a pre-prepared work, the use of the software engineering ideas, as well as object-oriented development techniques to develop the system. And details of system development and implementation steps, described and analyzed the design features of the system, and the operation of the system, debugging, deployment were discussed in detail.
