High spin states in odd-odd nucleus108Ag were populated by using the104Ru(7Li,3n) reaction. The experiment was carried out at China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) in Beijing. De-excitation y-rays were detected with an array of12BGO suppressed HPGE detectors and a Clover detector. A total of2×108γ-γ coincidence events were recorded in event-by-event mode when two or more germanium detectors were in coincidence. The coincidence data were recalibrated to0.5keV/channel and sorted into a4096x4096symmetrized matrix as well as into an asymmetric directional correlation ratios of oriented states (DCO) matrix in the off-line analysis.Six structures with rotational band characteristics were observed in the present work. Two rotational bands were extended up to higher spin, and a new rotational band was added into the level scheme. We extracted the relative intensities and the DCO ratios of the γ-rays belonging to108Ag and assigned the spin and parities of the new levels. We extracted the experimental alignments and the electromagnetic transitions B(M1)/B(E2) ratios of the rotational bands and compared the level scheme of108Ag with it’s the neighbouring nuclei. A previously known positive-parity band has been extended and its configuration is reassigned as the πg9/2(?)cg7/2configuration below the backbending. the7πg9/2(?)g7/2(h11/2)2configuration above the backbending rather than the π(p1/2,f5/2)(?)h11/2configuration below the backbending and π(p1/2,f5/2)(g9/2)2(?)vh11/2configuration above the backbending. Based on the S(I)=[E(I)-E(I-1)]/2/and E(I) curves and the electromagnetic transitions B(MI)/B(E2) ratios of the yrast band and the side band, the yrast band and its side band should be a candidate of chiral doublet bands.
