Ordos basin, which is rich in oil and gas resources, is a residual cratonic basin formed by the result of the superimposed tectonic movements in different period. It has become to one of the most important districts for China’s development of oil and gas exploration. Suijing field is located in North Shanxi Slope of Ordos Basin, and the main research area is the south of Jingbian County of the Shanxi province. This thesis mainly studies the Yan chang Formation of Chang2oil Formation. According to the well logging data, standard layer and sedimentary cycles is divided Chang2oil group into six small layers and this thesis is the study of Chang213,221two layers. Based on the core information, put well logging data and regional data together, and make full use of these data and logging curve characteristics to study sedimentary microfacies. The results show that the Suijing field Yan Chang2oil formation is dominated by braided river deposition, which developed channel sand dam and fluvial floodplain facies. On the basis of previous studies, and by collecting core pictures, cast thin section and thin section analysis data, the reservoir characteristics was studied step by step from the macroscopic distribution of sand body to sandstone petrology, pore structure, type, relationship between porosity and permeability to the reservoir plane changes. Studies display the main lithology of Yan Chang2oil formation is lithic feldspar fine sandstone, and it has fine reservoir properties, which characteristed by a big porosity with limited throat. The distribution of sand body’s direction is NE-SW, which formed a zonal shape. The thickness of the sand bodies was4-16m, and the direction of the sand bodies and the distribution of the sedimentary microfacies are consistent.Based on the characteristics of the distribution and sedimentary facies of the sand body, and combined with logging display, structure, oil testing data, log interpretation and production situation of study area, optimizing the target areas of Chang2oil group. Finally, there were many prospective targets had been found:as for Chang213,4tape of1preferred zones,5type of2preferred zones,4type of3preferred zones;and for Chang221,2type of1preferred zones,6type of2preferred zones,1type of3preferred zones. The preferred target area will provide an important geological basis to the next step for rolling exploration and development department.
