The disposal of expansive rock landslide is a technical difficult problem in the engineering of landslide disposal at home and abroad, which needs carrying out systematic study from every aspect of exploration, designing and construction.The landslide in Guangxi Economic Institute is located in the Nanning basin, which is typical of the expansive mudstone landslide. In late September2008, by the influence of typhoon named "Hagupit", the city of Nanning has heavy rain for a few days. By the influence of heavy rain, this slope body appears on many cracks, and the scattered deformation is obvious, the retaining wall has obviously displaced and cracked, even is sustainable development, it is a serious threat to the teachers and students of life and property security, so carried on comprehensive disposal for the landslide. This paper has systematically analying and researching for the landslide of Guangxi Economic Institute, including the exploration of basic features、 the stability analysis and the researching of comprehensive disposal scheme, etc..It major acquires the following conclusions:1、 Landslide area is5590mj, thickness is4.0~5.5m, and the Landslide volume is about2.6×104m3, it is defined for the small elapse type landslide.2、 Landslide is in the stage of creep deformation, though have not moving in a more slippery, however, the slipping belt of landslides has been generated partially. If raining, particularly having a heavy rain, the landslide falling is probability.3、 The paper proposes three kinds of landslide disposal schemes.The first scheme:"full consumer side and drainage and slope protection".The second scheme:"full anti-slide pile and drainage and slope protection".The third scheme:"part of consumer side and anti-slide piles and drainage and slope protection and part of the retaining wall". After the comprehensive comparing in the technical feasibility, economic benefit and social benefit, chooses "part of consumer side and anti-slide piles and drainage and slope protection and part of the retaining wall" as the mudstone landslide disposal scheme. The disposal project has completed, and gains good results. The selection of ideas of this landslide disposal scheme has good practical guidance for similar expansive rock landslide engineering.
