Hydrocarbon is an important factors in controlling oil and gas distribution, especiallythose hydrocarbon with high organic matter abundance, and good types, which have greatcontribution to the oil and gas accumulation, its thickness is often small, but has a higherhydrocarbon generation potential and hydrocarbon expelling intensity, we known ashigh-quality hydrocarbon source rocks. In this article use TOC≥2%of that part ofhydrocarbon source rocks as high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in the lower part ofNantun formation, use TOC≥2.5%of that part of hydrocarbon source rocks as high-qualityhydrocarbon source rocks in the higher part of Nantun formation, which is re-determinedstandards by Lu Shuang-fang. Accurately identify the distribution of high-qualityhydrocarbon source rocks and to determine the relationship between high-quality hydrocarbonsource rocks and hydrocarbon distribution, can provide a strong guidance for the next of oiland gas exploration.Wuerxun and Beier Depression is the most important depression of hydrocarbongeneration in Hailaer basin. This article by the research on the characteristics of high-qualityhydrocarbon source rocks, adopts the rich logging data, using an improved ΔlogR model, toidentify high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in Wuerxun and Beier Depression, and predictits distribution. Quantitative calculation contribution rate of high-quality hydrocarbon sourcerocks in hydrocarbon accumulation, Summed up the role of high-quality source rocks for oiland gas distribution, though the relationship between already found reservoirs and the highquality source rocks distribution, and the evolution of spatial-temporal. From the perspectiveof high-quality source rocks, combined with the existing exploration results, to evaluate andpredict the favorable areas of the study area.The evaluation results show that:(1) Development center of hydrocarbon source in gentle slope belt expand the area ofhigh-quality hydrocarbon source rocks;(2) Maximum continuous dark mudstone thickness of single well control hydrocarbondistribution in scale;(3) In the lower part of Nantun formation high-quality hydrocarbon source rockproportion is52%, oil generating contribution ratio is87%, oil-discharge contribution ratio is94%. In the higher part of Nantun formation high-quality hydrocarbon source rock proportion is35%, oil generating contribution ratio is71%, oil-discharge contribution ratio is85%.High-quality hydrocarbon source rocks, especially in the the lower part of Nantunformation has obvious source control function on the reservoir.
