Seismic technology has been widely used in oil exploration, it is one of the important ways of gas exploration. Since the1970s,3-D seismic had been used in commercial application for the first time,seismic technology has made great progress, and finished the simulation to the digital, seismic from2-D to3-D, from common3-D seismic to high resolution3-D seismic,and3-D to4-D seismic. Some basin3-D seismic work area has been close to or can achieve fully covered the scale of the basin, such as domestic jiyang sag, nanpu, etc. the3-D seismic data covered with large area, reflect the objective sedimentary bodies of three dimensional form and macro formation touch each other relations and continuous tracking and other characteristics, and offer scientific basis to establish basin the s stratigraphic framework.Seismic record can indirectly reflect and invert the primary sedimentary environment of geologic record. With the development of modern seismic technology, the information of lithology, lithofacies, geometric shape and the internal structure of sedimentation and sedimentary petrology can be further obtained from seismic record. Due to the background factors such as different landscape and resource, which control the development of sedimentary system, it is important for the study of reservoir and sand distribution to restore the factors accurately. In addition, the technology of seismic properties analysis can quantitatively describe sedimentary volume, lithology and so on. This is theoretical basis and prerequisite of seismic sedimentology, which use seismic exploration technology in sedimentary study, and combine with sedimentology.Junggar basin is complex and compress OGB dating from late Paleozoic to new generation, and is part of the Eurasian plate according the regional tectonic position, membership of Kazakhstan old plates, neighbor of Siberia plate in the north, Kazakhstan plate in the west and Karim plate in the south. Basin goes through haixi, yinzhi, yanshan and Himalayan phase4of sedimentary spinning, and now being thick in the south and thin in the north, tilts to the south. With the development of the carboniferous and Permian, the Triassic, Jurassic, and cretaceous tertiary and fourth department, sedimentary thickness is more than14km, this basin develops into a large OGB with multiple hydrocarbon generation and storage.
