Mason polymetallic gold deposit is located in the the Ulu Sokor area in Kelantan State, which is in the northern part of the central gold metallogenic zoon in Malaysia. The east-nouth trending fault F2is the main ore-controlling structure in the area, The inter-layer fracture zone is the main host structure, which in the calcareous phyllite and marble.Mason polymetallic gold deposit appeared in shape of long lens on the plane, NE60°trending. Permian itntermediate-felsic volcanic rocks, intermediate mafic volcanic rocks and sedimentary rocks are the ore-hosting strata. The lithology is mainly composed of tuff, tuffaceous phyllite, phyllite and marble, etc.Mason polymetallic gold deposit minerogenetic region mainly contains four types of gold ores:pyrite ore, pyrite-galena ore, galena-marmatite-ankerite ore and oxidized ore. Typical wall-rock alteration are silicification, pyritization, Pb-Zn mineralization, chloritization, iron dolomitization, carbonate, sericitization, and the gold mineralization is closely related to silicification, pyritization, chloritization and iron dolomitization.The results of trace element determination showed that the basic-intermediate tuffaceous phyllite can provid metallogenic materials. The quartz porphyry(concealed rock body form deep of ore area) formed by magma, and the magma not only provid abundant metallogenic materials, but also provided heat source and ore-forming fluid.Isotope research shows that the metallogenic sulfur came from deeper magma, the lead derived from the crust, the ore-forming fluids are mixed fluids that consist of magmatic water. Fluid inclusion research shows that ore-forming fluids should belong to Ca2+-K+-Na+-Cl--SO2-4type hydrothermal solutions.This paper sums up the genesis of Mason polymetallic gold deposit by researching occurrence environments, ore-controlling structure, mineral assemblage, ore fabric, wall rock alteration characteristics, ore forming fluid, I holds that Mason deposit is belong to magmatic hydrothermal gold deposits.
