With the car ownership in China increasing continuously, the roads become more and more crowded and road traffic accidents occur frequently, resulting in long traffic jams and influencing people’s travel.Dealing with the accident scene and handling traffic accidents timely,accurately and quickly can effectively make the roads unobstructed.The drawing system of the scene of road traffic accident can provide support for data processing of the site survey to achieve the rapid drawing of the accident scene,which greatly improves the efficiency of incident handling and helps to solve road congestion problems caused by the traffic accidents.Because of low drawing speed,non-standard and inaccurate road line drawn,and imperfect accident data management of the drawing system of the scene of road traffic accident currently used,this thesis researched and developed a system combined with computer,GIS,GPS and database techonology,which has functions of basic drawing and outputting,extracting road line template from road data of the map and updating results data to database.Firstly,the requirements analysis was been done form three aspects which include user needs, data needs and functional requirements of the system.According to the results of the requirements analysis,the overall design,functional design and database design of the system were completed.By designing,the system was divided into graphics rendering subsystem,survey notes recording subsyetem and road line template extraction subsystem which is runing independently,communicating and sharing data with the main procedure by designed mode.Then, the mathematical model and design modes of the graphics in graphic operation engine were studied on. In accordance with the object-oriented idea,the paper designed the object classes to express the elements,which were packaged into three kinds of class libraries by function and type,including the definition of system data structures class library,the definition of graphic data model and option class library and the definition of the operation of the system and function interfaces of the engine.These class libraries constitute the graphic operation engine which is the core module of the system.Finally, the graphic operation engine was implemented by C++.Based on the MFC to build the framework of the system,the system functions were achieved by invoking the functions in the engine. Simultaneously,data conversion method was realized by using C#and the road template extraction subroutine was developed based on.NET framework and ArcGIS Engine components.Integrating these two procedures, the drawing system of the scene of road traffic accident was achieved.
