In the recent years, environmental destruction wreaked by large-scale projects construction is increasing rapidly, which results in frequent extreme weather. Especially the secondary geological disasters that are triggered by rainstorm and flood have certain influence on the normal order of traffic operation. Nevertheless, due to the various sorts of secondary geological disasters under the condition of flood, the diverse destruction forms of roads, the existing flood disaster risk assessment achievements can no longer meet the requirements of administrative departments of traffic for disaster prevention and mitigation of routes. Therefore, by studying the risk assessment of highway flood secondary geological disasters, and accordingly dividing the highway safety level, this paper provides the referential suggestions for disaster prevention and reduction of transport routes with the theoretical guidance. The main work accomplished and research results obtained are as follows:1. It analyzes and sums up the characteristics and the inducing factors of flood and its secondary geological disaster. Through the research of the functions of the hazard-formative body and the destroy form of hazard-affected, it summarizes the destruction types of highway projects under secondary geological disaster induced by flood.2. Integrating with the characteristics and inducing factors of flood and its secondary geological disasters, considering the two kinds of risk assessment indexes---the inducing factor and geological environment factor of forming the disasters in a comprehensive way, it establishes the corresponding evaluation index system and the risk assessment model through the fuzzy evaluation method.3. Concentrating on the demand of traffic project disaster prevention and mitigation, it puts forward the vulnerability assessment method of engineering properties of hazard-affected body; establishes point evaluation index system of the vulnerability of bridge, culvert, roadbed and tunnel; expounds the relationship of engineering vulnerability assessment between the point and line under the action of flood secondary geological disasters. 4. Based on research of the risk of flood secondary geological and vulnerability of infrastructure construction, such as highways, and according to the definition of natural disaster risk assessment, it identifies the risk of highway geological disaster flood secondary, and divides the highway safety level. Moreover, it takes Yifeng Highway Project Mangshan Connections(Huangsha to MangShan) for example, to verify the feasibility of the evaluation model.
