Two-phase flow widely exists in the dynamical, chemical, petroleum,metallurgical industry and so on. The research on two-phase flow, which has beenone of the frontier subjects concerned deeply in the world, is developing rapidly. Theparameters measurement of this two-phase flow is of great importance for metrologymanagement, process control and reliability in operation. This thesis mainly researchcontents are as follows:(1) This new flowmeter is used to measure the parameters of the gas-liquid twophase flow. Based on the differential pressure signal of the double-cone flowmeter,testing method of two phase flow parameters is proposed. Firstly, in this paper, thestructure of the designed double-cone flowmeter is introduced. Secondly, themodification method which is mentioned in this paper is used to construct the modelbetween differential pressures of the double-double cone flowmeter and the totalflowrates of gas-liquid two phase flow. The measurement errors of the correctedmodel are analyzed. Finally, the relationship between differential pressure fluctuationsignals of the double-cone flowmeter and volumetric void fraction is studied. Acharacteristic value related to the variance of the dynamical differential pressuresignals is obtained. The relationship between the characteristic value of differentialpressures and the volumetric void fraction is established. Based on the double-coneflowmeter differential pressure signals, a new flowrate measurement model isestablished associated with the total volume flowrate measurement model.(2) Experimental studies are conducted on the gas/liquid two-phase flowexperiment device by using a new double-cone flowmeter. The relationship modelbetween the differential pressure fluctuation signal and the volumetric void fractionare verified. The research results show that the double-cone can be used to measurethe gas-liquid phase flow, the method of revised mean density which is proposed inthis paper to build the double-cone flowmeter gas-liquid two phase flowmeasurement model is feasible and the revised model has good measurementcharacteristic.
