Since the1990s, as China’s rapid economic development and continuous improvement of living standards, people continue to put forward higher requirements on food quality and safety. Fresh, nutritional and health has become an important criterion for people selecting food, as a result, chilled food has become the darling of the food market due to nutrition and security, while the food cold chain logistics were paid more and more attention. On one side, China’s cold chain logistics market are growing rapidly and potential, on the other sides, China’s cold chain logistics system is far from perfect and cold chain logistics industry is not mature. Therefore, there are highly theoretical value and practical significance on the research of cold chain logistics optimization.For the research on vehicle routing problem of city cold chain logistics, the main work and the results are as follows:(1) Combining with the definition of cold-chain and vehicle routing problem, this paper made a concept definition for vehicle routing problem of city cold chain logistics which was studed. Then the strategy of common distribution was introducted into city cold chain logistics, as a result, a rapid urbandevelopment model suitable for China’s cold chain logistics---Common Set, was proposed.(2) On the basis of analysis of the characteristics of the city cold chain logistics, this paper built the mathematical model of path decision-making of the city cold chain logistics as the goal to minimize the total cost. In the model, the costs of cargo damage and refrigeration were derived in detail, and the cost of soft time window was used to punish delivery vehicles which violated the goods delivery time limit, finally considering the capacity rationalization of Common Set, the capacity utilization cost was increased for model optimization.(3)For solving the mathematical model of path decision-making of the city cold chain logistics, this paper put forward CEGA algorithm, which complied with the basic ideas and principles of genetic algorithm and combined "Catastrophe theory" in Evolutionary Biology. Verified by example, the good optimization ability of CEGA algorithm and validity of the model were proved. Modern logistics is entering the development stage of information, networking and intelligent, the rapid development of cold chain logistics industry needs the majority of scholars to make further study.
